According to the Last Will and Testament of Michael Hess, deceased,
of Union Twp., his son, Michael W. Hess shall be given the plantation
and tract of land, and shall pay $1100 to his other children, after
the death of his wife, Mary, in the following manner.
Simon $100
John $100
Eliza $200
Amanda $200
Samuel $500
$1100
And payable at the following stated intervals.
Simon $50 1st year -- 1870
John $50 2nd year -- 1871
Eliza $50 3rd year -- 1872
Amanda $50 4th year -- 1873 - "fifty dollars of which sum was
paid to me by David Elliott" (Amanda Kneasel nee Hess, 10 Mar 1881)
Samuel $250 5th year -- 1874
Simon $50 6th year -- 1875 - "commence again at the oldest and
