He was probably at least 20 years old on the eariest estimated date
of the birth of his daughter Margaretha. (b. bef. 1550).
He is from Metling[en] according to the baptism record of his son,
Hannß. There are three references to a Joß/Jaus/Jaußen SEYTER in the
early church records in Flacht, suggsesting that Jaus SEYTER
relocated his family (with son Jacob) from Möttlingen. Joß may be a
brother, or may be unrelated entirely, however, the age of Joß's
widow suggests that he may be a father to Jacob |
