acres in Lebanon Twp., Lancaster County, adjoining Jacob BRENHEISEN
and Philip BOYER (the father of Philip BOYER above) During the
period of 1799-1804 there were numerous deeds of sale of Ludwig
SHALLY's original land grant. It is stated in a deed dated 20 March
1801 that, "Ludwick SHALLY lately died Intestate leaving Issue, to
wit, Adam SHALLY, John SHALLY, Christian SHALLY, Baltzer SHALLY,
Lucas SHALLY, Catharina the Wife of Peter SMITH and Anna Maria

Adam SHALLY was the son of Ludwig SHALLY. FILM #0984922 LANCASTER

Anna Catharina Shally married 28 Nov 1719 to Anna Margaretha Wilhelm,
daughter of Henrich and Anna Elisabetha Wilhelm of Ernsthausen in
Pfalz, Germany. The baptisms of their eight children are listed in
the Marienthal Church Register. Johann Ludwig Shally with his wife
and children came to Pennsylvania in 1743 in the Robt & Allice,
Martly Cussack, Commandr. [Qualified Sepr 30, 1743.] His adult sons,
Hans Adam Shally, Johannes Shally, and Christian Shally signed the
ship register with their marks. In 1751 Ludwig was granted 100 acres
in Lebanon Twp., Lancaster County, adjoining Jacob Brenheisen and
Philip Boyer. This would now be located in North Annville Twp.,
Lebanon Co., Penn. It was surveyed in 1789 for 165 acres. Ludwig
was on the 1755 tax list for Lancaster County. No Church records or
any further records are found for Ludwig Shally, but during the
period of 1799-1804 there are numerous deeds of sale of his original
land grant. It is stated in a deed dated 20 March 1801 that,
"Ludwick Shally lately died Intestate leaving Issue, to wit, Adam
Shally, John Shally, Christian Shally, Baltzer Shally, the above
named Lucas Shally, Catharina the Wife of Peter Smith and Anna Maria
Shally to and amongst whom the said Tract of Land with the
Appurtenances descended and Came as Children and Heirs of their said
Father deceased." In this deed we are told that Adam Shally, Peter
Smith and Catharina his Wife, Christian Shally, and Anna Maria Shally
by their Deed bearing dated 18 March 1783 sold their interest in the
land to their brother Lucas Shally. This would indicate that Ludwig
Shally had died at least sometime before 1783. On 21 April 1792
Baltzer Shally sold his interest in his father's land to his brother
Lucas. The brother John had died leaving two sons Adam and John.
This Adam Shally sold his share 1 Aug. 1795 to John Streher Jr. who
sold it to Henry Meyer on the 16 Dec. 1799. John Shally on the 30
Dec. 1799 sold his share to Henry Meyer. Henry Meyer and Lucas
Shally agreed to partition the land between them and Lucas purchased
Henry Meyer's share then selling the whole tract to Abram Raiquel by
the above deed dated 20 March 1801. In 1810 Abraham RAIQUEL took out
a patent for the Land, "called Oakdale situate in Lebanon Township
Dauphin County."
