B. Mann.

I, Babeth Mann (my first name in some of my investments being spelt Babet) single woman, of the City of Philadelphia County of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory, and understanding, and thoroughly conscious of what I am doing, do make and publish this, to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking, and making void all former wills by me at any time, and in any form, heretofore made.

First. I order and direct all my just debts and funeral expenses to be fully paid and satisfied by my Executrix and Executor, hereinafter named, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

Second. All the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, real, personal, and mixed whatsoever, wheresoever, of what nature, kind, and quality the same may be, I order and direct to be converted into money, as soon as the same can conveniently be done after my decease:  And for that purpose, I do hereby authorize, and empower my said Executrix and Executor, hereinafter named, and the survivor of them to sell and dispose of any real-estate, that I may die posessed of, either at public or private sale or sales, and to grant, convey and assure the same to the purchaser or purchasers thereof in fee simple.  And the whole of my said residuary estate shall be converted into money, as aforesaid, then I will and direct, that the same shall be divided into twenty equal parts or shares, and disposed of as follows.

a) Five full equal twentieth (5/20) parts or shares thereof I give, devise, and bequeath to my beloved sister-in-law Mrs Caroline Mann, widow of my deceased brother Abraham Mann, absolutely, her heirs and assigns forever.

b) The remaining Fifteen twentieths (15/20) of my said residuary estate, I will and direct to be divided equally, share, and share alike between my nieces and nephews following, to wit: Henrietta Mann, Matilda Hahn, Hannah Mann, Jacob Mann and Aaron Mann (children of my deceased brother Abraham Mann by his wife, my aforesaid sister-in-law Caroline Mann) and I give, devise and bequeath the same to them, absolutely, their heirs, and assigns forever.

And lastly, I do nominate and appoint my aforesaid sister-in-law, Mrs Caroline Mann to be the Executrix, and my aforesaid nephew, Jacob Mann, to be the Executor of this my last will and testament.  In witness whereof I, Babeth Mann, the Testatrix, have to this, my will, written on two pages of paper, set my hand and seal this 20th day of October, A. D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one (1881).

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Babeth Mann, as and for her last will and testament, in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names at her request, as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said testatrix and of each other.
