Frank Hahn, Jr. spent his entire career as a lawyer - 63 years - with the same center city firm. He died of heart failure at the Fountains of Logan Square where he had lived for almost a year. He was formerly a long time resident of Elkins Park, PA. A 1928 graduate of Northeast High School, Frank went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in English in 1932 and a law degree in 1935, both from the University of Pennsylvania. Immediately after graduating, he joined the law firm now known as Obermayer, Rebmann, Maxwell and Hippel. He became a Partner in 1949 and didn't stop working there, fulll time, until 1986 and part time, until 1998.

Frank's practice handled numerous corporate clients and their needs. He also was most helpful to various family members with their legal needs.

He was active with many charitable endeavors and his tenure on the Boards of Directors of several organizations included the Philadelphia Council of the Boy Scouts of America where he was President of the local Council in 1976, on the Board of the Nursing Committee at the Einstein Medical Center (formerly The Jewish Hospital), an active University of Pennsylvania alumnus, serving as President of his Class from 1987 to 1992 and served on the Board of Education for Cheltenham Township for 12 years. As an alumnus of Northeast High School, he started a foundation there, which continues today, to award scholarships to needy students.

Frank was also Secretary of Mt. Sinai Cemetery's Board of Directors. His daughter Judy is now on the Board. She has a set of cards for the burials there and Judy has taken them over as of 2005.

A service was held for Frank on Monday, February 20, 2006, at noon, at Rodeph Shalom Synagogue on Broad Street in downtown Philadelphia where Frank and his family attended for many years and made major contributions. Officiating was Rabbi William Kuhn. Burial at Mt. Sinai Cemetery is in Section 12, Lot 2154, Grave 4.
