Specher's Will
26 Mar. 1805
No 5
§
In the Name of God Amen This sixth Day of October In the Year
of Our Lord, Onethousand Eight hundred and four. I Dorothy Spreger,
of Hanover Township, in the County of Dauphin, and State of Pennsylvania,
Spinster, Having arrived to a great Age, but am weak in Body, but of sound mind
and memory, God be thanked for his Mercy towards me, I therefore make this my
last Will and Testament, That is to say, First and Chiefly I recommend my Soul
to God who gave it to me, and my Body unto the Earth, And to be buried in a
Christian manner. And as
concerning my Wordly Estate which it has pleased Almighty God to bless me with
in this World. I give and bequeath
the same as follows. First. It is
my will and I do in the first place Order, that all my just Debts and Burial
Expenses shall be paid as soon as it Conveniently can be done after my
Decease. Further I give unto my Son
Jost Spreger the Sum of Eight Dollars and
to his Heirs, or to whom he pleases to Assign the same. The other of my Estate shall be equally
divided As follows, That is in Three Parts. George Spreger,
shall have one part, or his Heirs, or to whom he Assigns the same, Charles
Spreger, shall have one part, or his
Heirs, or to whom he Assigns the same, Margaret Spreger, my Daughter, who is Inter-married with Henry Damas, the third part
to her, or her Heirs, or to whom she may Assign the same. This is my last will and Testament, And
as I do hereby Appoint my beloved and trusted Son George Spreger, my sole Executor, of this my last Will and
Testatment, And chose him to have the same to be brought into full force and
virtue, according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof. Therefore In Witness whereof, I the
aforesaid Dorothy Spreger, have
hereunto Set my hand and Seal, the Day and Year first above written.

This 26th Day of March AD 1805 before me Robt Harris
Register for the probate of wills & granting Letters of Administration in
& for the County aforesaid personally came Rter Killinger and John Early
Esqr. the the Subscribing witness's to the within will, and being severally
Sworn as the Law directs doth depose and say that they were present and saw
& heard Dorothy Sprecher the Testatrix Sign, Seal, publish, pronounce &
declare the within testament of writing as & for her last WIll &
Testament & at the time of so doing she was of perfect sound mind, memory,
& understanding to the best of their knowledge observation & Belief.
