| He appears third in the list of four children in his father's will, following Christina (b. 29 December 1777) and before Jacob (b. 23 August 1787). If the list of children is ordered from oldest to youngest, he would have had to be born between 1777 and 1787. However, Christina appears alone in the baptism register, and Peter could not have been born between his sister, Christina and brother, Johann Conrad (b. 28 April 1779). He appears as 16-25 years old in the 1800 census (b. 1775-1784), and 26-44 in the 1820 census. No baptism record can be found for him in Manheim, yet all his siblings born between 1776 and 1781 do have baptism records there. He was probably born after 1781. His younger brother, Jacob (b. 1788) also has no baptism record in Manheim. | ||||||||
