| WALLMER, WALMOR, WALMORE. He was 21 years old when he arrived in Philadelphia on the Europa on 17 November 1741. The people on the Europa were Palatines. His son, Peter Walmer Jr. is referred to as Johann Peter Walmer in the baptismal record of Johann Peter Walmer III, therefore it is assumed that the full name of Peter Walmer I is Johann Peter Walmer. On July 15, 1745, he buys land in Lancaster Co. from James Hamilton, Esq. , And on October 9, 1746 he sells the land to Michael Fortiney. On August 14, 1751, Peter Walmer was granted 100 Acres of land adjoining Jacob Mufoer & Widow Wyrick in Hannover Township. for Fifteen Pounds Ten Shillings, current money of the province, and yearly Quit Rent of One Half-penny Sterling for every Acre thereof. East Hannover assessment lists Peter Walmer fled from Indians Sept. 30-October 1, 1756. There are accounts of 5 children (4 girls and 1 boy, the youngest not 1 year) of Peter Walmer being carried off and the house was ransacked. Peter Walmer & wife were sponsors at the baptism of Catarina Margaretha, the daughter of John Adam Herbert, born September 1757 & baptized Feb. 19, 1758. Peter Walmer & wife, Margaretha were the sponsors of a son Peter, born to Gorg and wife Anna Schaffer September 29, 1759, & baptised June 10, 1760. East Hanover Township 1771 Assessment list.
