He continued the carriage business after his fathers death until
1876.

The firm of Walmer & Fox organized in 1889. Henry Walmer and Dr. W.
C. Baker established a model creamery and built a chop mill. The
Walmer & Fox Coach Shop was destroyed by fire the first Sunday in
February 1899.

He was a Councilman in Hummelstown.
