Comments added by another hand to his entry in the death register in
Grötzingen reads. "70y? geb 1787" (sic), but this is mistakenly
referring to Frederich HÖß who died single at the age of 20y (b. 7
June 1687; d. 7 April 1707). The confusion is probably due to a
mistake made in his marriage record, where he is incorrectly
identified as Frederich HÖß, son of Frederich HÖß. However,
Frederich HÖß, son of Frederich HÖß died single single, at age 20
years, in 1707, the year after the marriage. |

Friterich HÖß is referred to as Frederich HÖß, son of Frederich HÖß
in his marriage record. The name of his father appears to be in
error. There is no Frederich HÖß, son of Frederich HÖß in Grötzingen
at the time of the marriage, except for a single man who died the
following year, single, at age 20 years, in 1707. We know that
Friterich HÖß (b. 17 May 1678), son of Gorg Bernhardt HÖß, died in 17
April 1757 in Grötzingen, based on his exact age at death (although
his age is off by exactly one year), and is probably the Frederich
HÖß who married Anna Barbara HERMANN in 1706, when he was 28 years
old, and she 26 years old. |
