Notes for Jospeh HIESTER
He served in the Revolutionary War, entering the service as a captain
in the "Flying Camp", later promoted to the rank of colonel. He was
a member of general assembly, delegate to the Constitutional
Convention, first state senator from Berks County, representative in
Congress and Governor of Pennsylvania between Dec 1820 and Dec 1823.
