Notes for Thurston WORDSWORTH
1587 Will of Barnarde Haigh
He names his wife as Margaret

1589 Will of Jannet Marsden
Hi Steve
Jennet Marsden names her brother as Thomas Wordsworth and her sister
as Margaret Haigh in her 1589 will I will be transcribing this will
shortly and will send it to you. Thomas in his will of 1593 mentions
daughters Margaret (Haigh), Jennet and Elizabeth (Wordsworth). But
Jennet Marsden was presumably dead by 1593 if she made her will in
1589 and he would surely have given her married name. I think that
this Margaret Wordsworth married a Thomas Haigh. Hopefully it will
become clearer in due course. It is possible that Edmund Marsden
married Jennet later in life. Perhaps Joan died after 1561 and he
then married Jennet, unless Joan and Jennet are one and the same
person (the names are similar). Edmund made his will in 1565, proved
in 1566, but I do not have a copy. It is still quite possible that
the father of these Wordsworths was actually Thomas rather than
Thurstone, although the names in Thomas's will don't match quite as
well.
