according to a newspaper clipping.
He was buried on a Saturday at the home of a sister at 4503 North
Gratz street (43d & Gratz st.). The 1923 Philadelphia City Directory
gives the address, 4503 Gratz for Arthur's sister, Alice Giggle.
He lived at 3326 Farragot Ave., Camden, New Jersey at the time of his
death.
NOTE: Lankenau was founded in 1860 as the German Hospital of
Philadelphia, and located in North Philadelphia on Morris Street. In
1917 the German Hospital renamed itself Lankenau Hospital after John
D. Lankenau, a successful German-born Philadelphia business man who
was one of the first supporters and leaders of the Hospital. |
